Gary Preschool Reorganization Plans

Since 1969, it has been Gary Preschool’s mission, privilege and great joy to partner with parents to promote growth and happiness in the lives of approximately 2,300 students through stories, creative play and many fun classroom activities. While this mission has not changed, our community’s needs have.

After many thoughtful discussions and brainstorming sessions, the Gary Preschool Board voted to close the 3-year-old and 4-year-old preschool classes at the end of the 2024-2025 school year. A committee has been formed to explore the possibility of a reimagined program that would better meet the needs of our community.

Thank you to Gary Church for your support. We wouldn’t have been able to have the program that we have had for 55 years without the church and its dedicated members. We also want to thank all the parents and families who trusted us with their children. Sharing Gary United Methodist Church and Jesus with the children, and seeing his wonderful love through the hearts of our preschoolers, has been a very special privilege.
